Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
As you’re aware, there is much news and conversation about the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic right now. It has officially reached Fort Wayne. Although we know it is local, we have not heard of any cases specifically at Central Ministries. This is an effort to keep you informed on what we are doing to ensure safety and health of all Central Ministries attenders. While there are mixed opinions and beliefs on how serious the response should be between media and medical leaders, there is still the reality of what we’re facing. While we don’t have any intentions of causing panic or anxiety, want to make sure you’re all aware of our productivity and awareness of the issue.
We, as Central Ministries, are actively monitoring and watching the recommendations from both trusted medical leaders and our state and federal authorities. We will continue to make decisions as necessary and mandated. While this is a day to day situation, our current plans are:
All events and services at both campuses are canceled until it is determined to be safe. Our worship service will still be streamed during regular service times Sunday (9am, 11am) on Facebook Live and right here on our website.
We encourage you to give your tithe and offering online, our church center app or text the amount to 84321.
As much as you are able, we encourage you to stay connected with our LIFE Groups. Though large gatherings have become unadvisable, we want to be proactive toward community and fight against isolation. God has called us to a full life in Him – together. If you want more information about small groups at Central, you can find it here.
We will reevaluate these things as we are seeing improvements and hearing positive suggestions from our governmental and medical leaders.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we journey through this new venture. We are reminded that God is in control and nothing comes as surprise to Him. We are reminded that prayer is our weapon against fear and that Jesus gives peace that passes all understanding. We trust in Him and His sovereignty above all. This is an opportunity to show kindness to those around us and offer help and hope to those who are ill and those who do not know the hope we have. We encourage you to check in on those in your lives who may be at higher risk for getting this illness and show them the light of Jesus and offer help as necessary.
